Our friends at the Child Neurology Foundation, in partnership with the Harnett Family and to commemorate Infantile Spasms Awareness Week (December 1-7), are offering a $1,000 grant to a family impacted by infantile spasms. The grant was founded by Michael Harnett to honor the life and memory of his nephew, Brendan Michael Harnett, who passed away from infantile spasms before his first birthday.
Additionally, in collaboration with their Infantile Spasms Action Network (ISAN) partners, Child Neurology Foundation will also be offering ten separate RISE Family grants to families who have a child living with infantile spasms.
Both the Harnett and Rise Family Grants are open to applications. The deadline is November 8, at 8 AM Central Time. The families will be awarded the grants through a randomized selection.
The grants are meant to supplement treatments or procedures for infantile spasms that are not fully covered by insurance. In the past, families have put the money towards durable medical equipment, assistive technology, therapy services or respite care.
If you or your loved ones are interested in the grants, please submit your interest by completing the application here: https://bit.ly/35D68VW
