Jessica Hilderbrand, Resource Specialist, held an event to celebrate one of her students who has TSC. More than 200 students in grades 3 to 6 watched the Turbo & Scott video, viewed a slide show (created by Jessica) and then held Q & A session. Students answering questions correctly were awarded Step Forward to Cure TSC walk t-shirts, bracelets and school spirit wear swag. At the end of the day the school was a sea of TSC shirts and most importantly, one student felt celebrated and honored. Jessica shared that part of her message to the kids was “who knows, one of you might just grow up to be the researcher who finds a cure for TSC.” Jessica has signed up to be on the Walk Planning Committee for the NEW Sacramento Step Forward to Cure TSC Walk to be held in October 2020.
