Volunteer leadership roles

Community Region Lead
Partner with key leaders to connect individuals with local medical professionals, strengthen community ties and promote access to resources.

Community Region Co-Lead
Support the Region Lead by promoting medical access, hosting gatherings and providing local leadership.

Future Leaders
A one-year leadership role selected through an application process to engage in community development.

Government Action Lead
Build relationships with 10–15 U.S. federal representatives to advance advocacy efforts.

Clinic Ambassador/Medical Access Lead
Serve as a liaison with TSC Clinics, connecting families to resources and support.

Community Fundraising Lead
Organize and support fundraising efforts within the local TSC community.

Education Peer Mentor (EPM)
Trained specialists who help families navigate IEP or 504 processes for educational support.

Community Resource Lead
Guide families to state and local resources, including waivers, Medicaid and SSI.

Adult Support + Resource Lead
Support adults with TSC by fostering independence and connecting them to essential resources.

Community Support Lead
Expand community support networks and provide reliable information and resources to individuals and families.

The TSC Alliance Community Leadership Manual is your essential guide to successfully navigating your role as a volunteer leader. It outlines key policies, best practices and resources to help you lead effectively, foster community engagement and uphold the mission of the TSC Alliance.
