The TSC Alliance extends our heartfelt thoughts and deepest sympathies to all those impacted by the devastation and destruction caused by the Los Angeles wildfires. We recognize the immense hardship faced by our communities and our priority is to ensure our TSC community members have access to essential medical resources during this difficult time.

We encourage you to take advantage of the following resources to obtain necessary medical supplies, medication and medical care through your health care plans. These resources have been carefully compiled to help ensure that you have the support needed for your health and well-being.

Key Resources for Medical Support:

  1. Emergency Medical Supplies and Medications
    • Contact your local health providers or pharmacies for emergency refill options. Many pharmacies in affected areas are offering flexible refill policies.
    • Explore community health centers providing free or low-cost medical services during emergencies.
  2. Health Insurance Coverage Flexibility
    • For those with private or public health insurance, check with your insurer regarding expanded coverage for emergency medical services and medications. Many plans have lifted restrictions due to the wildfire crisis.
    • If you are unsure about the status of your coverage or need help with health insurance-related inquiries, the California Department of Insurance can assist you.
  3. Health Care Plan Adjustments
    • Many health care plans are offering extended coverage for evacuation-related services, including emergency room visits and mental health counseling. Be sure to contact your plan’s customer service for details.
    • Ensure that your health care provider is aware of your situation to help with emergency care if needed.
  4. Mental Health Resources
    • The psychological toll of disasters is significant. For emotional and mental health support, please access resources like the Disaster Distress Helpline (1-800-985-5990)

We understand the stress and uncertainty that can come with a disaster of this magnitude and we want to assure you that the TSC Alliance is committed to providing you with the resources and assistance you need during this time. If you need support, please contact the TSC Alliance at 240-463-7250 or email support@tscalliance.org
